I am learning that you never master art and to me that's the fun! My preferred medium is watercolour, because it is so unpredictable. I'm so glad that I started an art class in my 50's, it has been life changing. You see it's never too late to try something new! I have a sketch book with me at all times to record my memories. These sketches are more precious than any photograph. Art has opened new doors and given me confidence I never knew I had. I mainly work from my photographs or on the spot when possible, and often enjoy the challenge of something completely different too. I exhibit regularly, attend workshops, and like to pass on my knowledge to others. I feel so lucky that art is part of my world. I am still on 'The Journey' and loving it.
Painting is easy when you don't know how,but very difficult when you do."Edward Degas
Below are some examples of my work. All work on the following pages are for sale, unless otherwise stated. The paintings are actual paper size unless they are in an exhibition or gallery, when I will give you the aperture size they are mounted in. I use good quality watercolour paper, artists quality paints and lots of enthusiasm.
